My favourite has to be Twin Peaks. It was frightening, funny, mysterious and sometimes very stupid but had a great atmosphere. I have the first season on dvd and await the second.
Without Twin Peaks there would not have been X-Files or many other quirky, dark tv series from USA. Prior to this the usual tv output was glossy detective progs.
I recently moved into the Welsh Valleys and on the hills either side of my house are pine trees. I love to watch the mist move through them on wet mornings. Very Twin Peaks! Anyone else love the prog?

Yes the music was good, I have an album by Julee Cruise, some of the songs were used on the series and are on the soundtrack album such as Falling. I love David Lynch's stuff generally, I'm just weird that way! The last episode was quite grim with our Agent being taken over by an evil spririt from the Black Lodge or something...........

Dax, it's very soothing music though isn't it? Spooky, interesting and calming all at once, apart from the make-you-jump loud clashes in it from time to time!

Loved Twin Peaks.
But what was it really about?

I don't think there were really any hidden meanings to the series. Basically it showed that there were spirits that could take over people and make them do evil things.

I haven't seen the series but I have "Twin Peaks" and "Fire walk with me" on video and I have been told that if I have them I don't really need to see the series!!!........is this true?!!!
Did anyone else see Karl Mcglocklan (lol........I think I may have spelt his name a tad wrong there!!!......lol) in Sex and the City!!!.....How funny was that!!!!!
The video's I have are fantastic, I had great fun confusing the hell out of Laura by making her watch them!!!......Great music too!

Although Fire Walk with Me is set before the series, it would be hard to understand without watching the series first. The first season is available on DVD. If you have the opening feature length first episode on video then be warned....... the last 20 mins were especially filmed for video release to give the thing a proper ending so that it would sell as a movie. Those last 20 mins were rushed and don't happen in the series.

I used to quite fancy Kyle McLaughlin when I was a teenager!
he was also in blue velvet, doing a very good impression of a bloke hiding in a cupboard!
another one to watch if you get a chance!

Oh yes Dax, Blue Velvet is almost my all time favourite film, Frank was very frightening!

I heard the twin peak misic on the radio today and it reminded me that David Bowie was in fire walk as well! mind you hes good in Biazarre things!

Yes, Bowie played an agent who seemed to be stuck in some other dimension/time warp! I think his other scenes were cut along with another hour or more of footage. Some people are trying to get this footage reinstated for a dvd release. A different company holds the rights of the cut stuff to the movie so its going to be an uphill struggle but would be worth waiting for IMHO
I dont know if I have ever seen fire walk!! I might of done but I cant remember!

like today I saw a really good book in a charity shop, thought oh that looks good, started reading the blurb on the back and realise I read it about 3 months ago!!!

memory is a terrible thing as you get older!

so ....what was I talking about?????.....oh yes, have I or have I not seen firewalk?
I will have to watch it (again???) to let you know !
