Apart from the opening music to Armagedon (the pipes, the pipes!). I have to vote Mike Oldfields 'Songs of Distant Earth' and Billy Idol's 'Cyberpunk' (?) as my all time Sci Fi classics. In both cases they managed to more than achieve what they set out to do.

Anyone else got any fave's ?

I like the opening and closing theme to 'Lifeforce', though it was good.

Plus it had Matilda May in it !!

And I like the theme to Voyager !!

Morbius
The theme to Stargate ( the original movie version ) is quite good, however can you beat the "Electronic Tonalities" of Forbidden Planet ? biggrin.gif
Dax
I like a few themes, the ones that send tingles down your spine, ET, close encounters of the 3rd kind etc

love the sound track to lost boys

loathe the enterprise theme (even after the upbeat changes)

Yes Forbidden Planet was a classic film with a classic soundtrack. I love John Carpenter's music to his own films. Have an album and its great to listen too. The Fog has one of the best, after Halloween of course.
Ogre
Did anyone catch Jonathan Woss on Fwiday ? er Friday.

Bill Bailey had one of those Electronic Tonality machines and played it quite well.
