I myself am not sure but I have dreamt many things that have come true. I will share with you one very spooky coincidence. Here is:-

A lot of years ago now I was enjoying the single life. wink.gif When one night I dreamt I was just cruising around in this red car down familiar country roads which belonged to a unknown man. All I knew of him was he had dark hair and wore sunglasses. The weird thing was I felt completely content and happy. Hence to say I felt very disappointed when the alarm went off. mad.gif

Anyway I forgot all about it but two months later I met my future husband. Who not only had dark hair, but owned a red car. We used to regulary go for drives in the country, just to chill. Not much of a coincidence but yes he did wear sunglasses perscription ones. Bless.

Anyway, later on in the relationship he said to me (he didn't know about my dream yet) just before he moved down here he dreamt that he fell in love with a blonde blonde haired female who was standing near some aircraft. I myself am blonde and worked at an airport. I then told him about my dream thinking he wouldn't believe me. All he said was must be Destiny then. biggrin.gif

About 3 years later I got a tarot reading for a bit of fun and the reader suddenly perked up and said that my grandfather whom I had never met, (he died before I was born) was my spirit guide and that he asked for this role as he was so thrilled when I was born. Hes probably wondering what went wrong bless him. wink.gif Anyway he apparently was sad that I hadn't met the right someone and went off in search of my perfect mate.

Like I say coincidence or real I don't know but I thought it might make for interesting reading.

Who cares really I still met my perfect mate.

I think that you can have prophetic dreams, I have had a few nights were I wake up in a sweat after a vivid dream and then a few days later something similiar happens in real life. The details are not exactly the same as the dream but the pattern fits
shadow
This is similar to my usual experiences. Some are very vivid and I know exactly what will happen next. Spooky. ohmy.gif
Dax
sometimes I have dreams like that, things happen the next few days.

I cant explain why it happens, and I cant say I like having dreams like that.

I did dream the other day that someone at my work had been taken poorly and dreamt the time and everything.....and at that time she was taken poorly and had to go home.
that was last week, cant remeber all my dreams and its difficult to tell the difference between dreams, visions and deja vu

There is a theory that this 'reality' in which we live is actually a dream and our consciousness is somewhere else. Things that happen in the realm of our consciousness (wherever it might be) are then incorporated into our 'dream', i.e. this reality and that is why some people have prophetic dreams. The event has already happened.

If this is the case then I'm leading a very boring life in the realm of my consciousness tongue.gif

However I still find prophetic dreams a very interesting phenomenon smile.gif

its always a good idea to jot your dream down, a bit of paper and a pen by your bed so you can give rough details.
it helps remember your dream in the morning and will show if you had your dream before or after the event.

deja vu is said to be when one half of your brain is a milli second ahead of the other side, so you think something has happened before, your brain will be right, as one side recognised it before the other side......or is that the real explaination???? huh.gif

Won't that mean that one side of your brain would cease to exist in our 'temporal reality' leading to you having half your skull empty?

Or have I been watching too much StarTrek?

I think what Dax means is that one side of your brain perceives something a millisecond before the half. Seeing and perceiving are two different things wink.gif

If this is a dream then I'd better go and have some fun, pack in my job and go fly around the world.......... mmmmm I'd have to see more evidence for this dream state....... are we talking about the Matrix now?

Nice story shadow smile.gif .

I've definitely been in the deja vu situation, many times . But for some reason lately I haven't really been having dreams (that I can remember) - they always used to be so vivid and plentiful, don't know what's going on up there at the moment. rolleyes.gif
shadow
I have to agree with Eckie it does sound a lot like the Matrix. Brilliant film but for reality I don't like that idea sorry a bit too creepy for my liking. wacko.gif

Roflmao laugh.gif I prefer to be called a Terran wink.gif

I loved the Matrix smile.gif But I've heard the sequel is a load of rubbish. Anybody read David Icke's 'Children of the Matrix'? A very interesting read, I think.

I think the theory is that the physical body is a sort of computer terminal receiving information from the disembodied consciousness somewhere 'out there' wink.gif

I presume you are using this derivation from the Latin "Terra Firma"?

Or are you using the direct word 'Terran' from the Greek?

Ahh .. the Greeks. I spent a long summer there once stirring up dissent.
Yes, Socrates himself is particularly missed ...

All together now ...lets sing along ...

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant
who was very rarely stable.
Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
who could think you under the table.
David Hume could out consume
Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel,
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
who was just as sloshed as Schlegel.

There's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya
'bout the raisin' of the wrist.
Socrates himself was permanently pissed.

John Stuart Mill, of his own free will,
after half a pint of shandy was particularly ill.
Plato, they say, could stick it away,
'alf a crate of whiskey every day!
Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle,
and Hobbes was fond of his Dram.
And Rene Descartes was a drunken fart:
"I drink, therefore I am."

Yes, Socrates himself is particularly missed;
A lovely little thinker, but a bugger when he's pissed.

Hmmm, at least the Master likes Monty Python tongue.gif

Oh, and Terran from the Latin

I saw the Matrix sequal in the cinema and was totally underwhelmed..... some good parts but on the whole I thought it was very shallow, unlike the original which is one of the best sci-fi films ever made.

Isn't David Icke a bit extreme in his views?, there doesn't seem to be any way I can take anything he says seriously, its like very bad sci-fi.
Dax
was it david ike who thought he was the new messiah? ohmy.gif
Dana_Scully
That's him Dax. I can't get the shape-shifting reptiles bit but if you look at what he has to say about bloodlines it's very interesting. Did you know that 33 of the 43 US Presidents are all descended from royalty? In fact in any presidential election the candidate with the most connections to royalty has won.

David Icke predicted GW Bush would become president and within a year he would start a war. And no, he's not psychic as far as I know, he just put two and two together. He's done a great deal of research into the bloodlines, history, globalism, banking etc.

I remember his turquoise shell suit days and I laughed along with everybody else but he really has some important things to say and I've had to revise my opinion of him.

Monty Python rule!!!!.......and I have to say that it does all sound like the Matrix. What I don't understand.....if this is our dreamworld......is what are ghosts?...I can understand the dejavu stuff being a memory of somthing that has already happend in the other reality (although I don't think I beleive it) but what are ghosts then, because surly if they passed on it the other reality then they would be free from both realitys wouldn't they? so why would they be haunting ours?!!!!!! wacko.gif
Dana_Scully
Did the person who designed the cd cover below have a prophetic dream?

This cd was released in July, 2001, two months before the attack on the World Trade Centre. Some people believe there was prior knowledge with the Bush Administration of the attack and the subsequent Patriot Act was seen as a 'coup' by people who wanted to use the USA to further their hegemonic agenda. Note the name of the band.

Oooooooooooo!!! ohmy.gif

Weird, thanks Dana! I bet that boosted their CD Sales! ohmy.gif

Magenta - Ghosts are a dream within a dream within......?! biggrin.gif

huh.gif Scully, that CD cover? wacko.gif Very weird...

I have had a dream that a bridge over a local road (that the Trans Pennine train goes on) collapses.

I shall have to wait and see with that one... unsure.gif blink.gif ph34r.gif
