Watched this last night. It was an entertaining enough film, perhaps long but the digital effects of NY being swamped by a huge wave were amazing. I recognised some facts in the movie from a documentry I'd seen on global disasters. Its a little frightening.

I really dont know if I want to watch this or not.

sounds interesting but do I want to see the possible end of the world? it really could happen.....we will have to wait to see the US election result to know if we still have a chance here!

a friend of mine watched it with her 12 yr old son and he asked questions all the way through it, including is this really going to happen, she said it might but it wouldnt be for a while yet, maybe his great great great great grandchildren!
still a frightening thought though ohmy.gif

It may the end of the world...as we know it. I saw a documentory where its been proven by scientists that the melting fresh water ice from the poles is diluting the warm salty tides of the Gulf Stream (think thats the name) that give us our current, fairly warm climate. At some point the balance will tip and so a new ice age will begin. It won't happen as fast as it did in the movie though.
I agree with you Dax on the election next week, if USA still continues in it's policy of looking for more oil instead of alternatives then perhaps we'll all be Bushed!
