Started playing Fable last night on the x-box, must say it's quite engaging so far. lavish backgrounds, victorian style high fantasy backdrops during the narration sequences and I'm cute.
Spent last night taking my orphaned villager through hero school and dealing with my first few quests. It's got Lionhead (the BlackWhite people) involved in the manufacture and has some inovative touches that compensate for the cumbersome inventory system, (first time I've driven off a foe using flatulance as a weapon). Now if I could only work out how to get my chainmail boots on I'd be laughing. Also I have to get rid of the nickname 'Chicken Chaser'. I'm too young yet to terrify villagers, or inspire awe but will let you know how I get on.
Fave part of last night's gaming was a gobby bandit mocking my puny beginning sword skills. So I hit him with a lightning bolt first

PS. The game is £34 in my local store and I think its £32 on Tesco online. The nice guys at Play charged me £17.99
