I was impressed. Leaving aside the animation qualities and the action sequences, the basic story carrying the first half of the film was strong in itself. The struggle of a family with Super Powers desperately supressing their own naturesin an effort to fit in with normal society was well thought out and quite touching. The scene with the 2 main male hero's telling their wives they go bowling, when they actually sit in the car and listen in to emergency broadcasts was particularly poignant. The sense of regret and yearning could have graced a few 'older' films I've seen lately
If you've not seen this, please don't ignore it because of the 'Kiddy Appeal'..
