Hi all,

thought i would tell you a bit about me and my "experiences" - when i was a young lad about 8, my mums friend died, they had been best friends,
when her family was clearing her house out they offered my mum her china cabinet - it was her pride and joy but her family didnt want it and it was either my mum has it or they would skip it, so my mum who knew how important it was to her friend thought she would give it a home with us, on bringing it home i remember all our family sat around looking at the china cabinet and my mum saying i wonder if my friend knows i have her china cabinet and that i am going to look after it for her, then for a complete week every morning we woke up to find all the cups inside this cabinet being turned the opposite way, it was a locked cabinet and my mum hid the key after the first day thinking it was my older brother playing tricks on us all but it wasnt.
Then my grandad died and my dad brought some of his belongings over in big cardboard boxes - there was a disctinctive haze over these boxes that resembled my grandads pipe smoke that stayed there for the night - very wierd.

But the thing that really got me interested in the paranormal was when i was 10 years old i have always been interested in Astronomy and was on the back garden with my telescope looking at the moon when i noticed an orange shaped disc fly silently overhead, pretty low, ever since then i have been fascinated by all things paranormal from crop circles, hauntings to ufos.

Whenever i can i like to go out in the country with my camcorder and spend the night sky watching, i have 6 pieces of footage that are peculiar to say the least - wierd lights doing some strange movements.

I have been and viewed crop circles, some to be found out to be hoaxes and others that cannot be explained and have spent many a night in supposedly haunted places one of the best of these being "the galleries of justice in Nottingham" i got to spend an hour in the condemn man cell, it was 2am in the morning and here i was on my own in a tiny cell armed only with a torch and an emf reader, i had checked the cell when i first went in with the emf reader it was zero, i sat down got as comfy as poss and remained there in the dark for half an hour and was getting a bit bored thinking why am i here, then all of a sudden i got really paranoid, cant really explain why, i didnt see anything nor hear anything but i was convinced i wasnt alone in that cell, i switched on my emf reader which went beserk - i quickly switched on my torch to see an empty cell and the emf reader just went back to normal, i stayed in there for another half hour but nothing else happened however i am hoping to go back there and will definately take more eqipment with me next time.
We did get some good footage of orbs there too.

Over the years i have collected quite a few photographs/footage of ufos and ghosts etc. and am constantly being sent footage of supposedly paranormal things - however they are that many hoaxers out there it does mean that 95 % of these things turn out to be not true, my good friend who is a whizz kid on these computers is trying to sort me out with my own website so i can put a lot of the pictures, footage on the web, will let you all know about it when it happens, hope i havent bored you all.

Gotta go now as i am up early tomorrow, off on another sky watch mission will let you know if i get anything decent.

its wierd as I know some one who has experianced the pipe smoke thing and one of my neighbours has a locked cupboard and sometimes the glasses are outside on the carpet the next day even thoguh its locked! very similar to your story!

Interesting Jimmy. When I was younger, me and my mates did some skywatches and saw some interesting stuff. One of my sightings is on this board, do a search and you'll come across it I'm sure.

nothing much to report tho this time some strange lights but nothing to shout about, could have been a number of things, enjoyed a couple of days in a new place i havent been to before tho.

Hi just an update, got an all night ghost watch tonight at Derby Jail (or Gaol as it is called) will let you know if we get anything of interest

It was a good night, we got a couple of orbs on camera, a sound recording like a heavy sigh which everyone heard at the time except me very strange readings from my EMF reader when I was in the condemn man cells – just like what happened at the “Galleries of Justice” and Mrs Jimmy’s hair lifted up as if someone was playing with her hair during a séance which was kind of cool, so all in all it wasn’t a bad night.

Some interesting stuff there JIMMY, ghostly voices and sounds caught on tape spook me out. Did you meet Richard Felix of Most Haunted fame there, he owns the jail?

No Eckie I didn’t meet Richard Felix, apparently Richard and Kieran from Most Haunted were half expected to turn up but never did, the guy in charge was called CJ a fellow paranormal investigator, he used to work for Most Haunted and is good friends with Richard apparently, he told me Richard's son Ed works for the National trust and he is the Manager there, my gang are hoping to hire the place out one night soon and do a "proper thorough investigation” there again, but we shall see.

That sounds really fascinating Jimmy. I would love to do something like that. How do you start??
