I know this is probably not the correct topic for this forum, but I want to share it rather than let you find out the hardway like I did.

Anyway I was paying my Credit Card (hiss!!) bill yesterday when It occurred to me I am paying rather a lot for Unemployment (etc) Insurance.

I had a look on line on the off chance and found out there a search engines out there that will quote to cover ALL my monthly household bills (non food) for a year for a monthly premium that's less than I currently pay for one card. huh.gif

Suffice to say I am NOT a happy Ogre mad.gif

I could have been spending the money on more shelves, or books, or books and shelves (goes off for a quick lie down).

Anyway if you want the site info pm me.

You do have to be careful about these insurences......... they are like saving accounts, you start out with a good deal, keep the thing going, forget about it and then you realise that times have changed and there are better deals around. If we all had the time I'm sure it would be a good idea to check your outgoings every 6 months and try to find a better deal.
I have critical ilness cover and 2 years on its seeming to be a money drain but you never know whats round the corner..........

I must admit I'm a dyed in the wool rate tart as far as loans etc are concerned anyway. Anything not giving it's best is OUT.. (bought the wife a car the other month at a rate of 3.9%. I can't get a high street loan for that sort of rate.)
