Did anyone watch this show tonight on C4? Survivors of a plane crash on a remote island are stalked by things in the trees......... Its been ages coming to this country. It looks damn good though.

Does anyone know what this island actually IS yet???

FunkyFairy, there are a few theories going around but I have purposefully avoided reading them. The second series is just starting in the USA, lucky buggers. Perhaps we should all agree to keep this thread *SPOILER FREE* or maybe mark your post as *SPOILER* if you have to share a plot point not already shown in the UK?

I wish I did know what was going on. I haven't seen anything yet, so have no idea!

What I found interesting was the episode the week before last where it turned out that the bald guy was actually in a wheelchair before the flight but somehow he recovered use of his legs after the crash.
He also came face to face with the 'beast' and lived hmmmmmmmmm...............

Sorry guys, think its a load of rubbish! It's like every disaster movie ever made rolled into one, and who does their laundry for godsake ?
Now, Carnivale thats a different story altogether.

How can you say that. Its great, its all twisted and eerie! So what if they have good fashion sense, its still a good story!
I always miss it, then I watch the repeat on Sunday, I forget a lot of things!!!

It grabbed my attention for at least 30 minutes ! Sorry just didnt enjoy it at all. Carnivale however, is full of twisty turns and mysticism and even after one season, I still don't know what's going on!!
Eckie
Sep 6 2005, 08:11 PM
The thing is, they don't need to do laundry, the've only been there 5 days. Its a day per episode. And yes its all twisted and sticky. The plane crash is just the motive for them to be there, the prog isn't really about plane crash survivors.
Bikerroc
Sep 6 2005, 08:14 PM
Don't need to do laundry after 5 days !!!! You gotta be joking. What I meant was, theyre still wearing clothes that look like they've just been pressed !!!
funky fairy
Sep 6 2005, 08:15 PM
Thats because they packed them correctly in the first place.
Tell me more about the theory someone, privately if no one wants to know, I am nosey!!!
Eckie
Sep 6 2005, 08:17 PM
Hmm good point, maybe they're all lazy, dirty swines and they've found that the plane's cargo hold was full of new clothes
Bikerroc
Sep 6 2005, 08:23 PM
Yeah but they'd still be crumpled wouldn't they? And check out the pregnant one. When that baby's born it'll probably have a complete layette all ready for it !!
Eckie
Sep 6 2005, 08:26 PM
Or maybe they'll start making little jumpers and trousers for it!
funky fairy
Sep 6 2005, 08:28 PM
Yeah they probably already have the correct coloured wool!!
Eckie
Sep 6 2005, 08:30 PM
You'll see 5 of them in the background beavering away with knitting needles
Bikerroc
Sep 6 2005, 08:31 PM
And it'll be wearing disposable nappies (Diapers for our american friends)
funky fairy
Sep 6 2005, 08:33 PM
It's still a good programme, you cannot deny that!!

Who cares what their clothes are like.... with the dishy doc around I am not focusing on whether their clothes seem ironed ....lol.
I love this series too Funky... It is light relief from the boring stuff we see on a Wed night.

Its far more interesting than hospital dramas. How much more of them can we take. Eastenders is more far fetched and illogical than Lost, really

Don't deny its interesting Eckie, I just prefer something a little more believable. T.V. programmes are a very individual taste anyway, thats why we got 4 t.v. s in our house for 4 different people !!!!! Otherwise we'd be killing each other!!!
I just prefer to watch things more on the, shall we say ,dark side ?

I saw some of the 1st season of Carnivale but missed one and then they were repeating them willy nilly and I lost the plot literally. Shame. I don't have Sky at the mo
