ESOC's Main Control Room, (live), will be the scene of intense activity for the launch and early operation phase (LEOP) for Venus Express, ESA's mission to Earth's closest planetary neighbour.
In agreement with the European Space Agency, Starsem and its Russian partners have set the new launch date for the Venus Express spacecraft. Launch is now scheduled for Wednesday, 9 November 2005, at 03:33 GMT (4:33 CET).
Check back daily to view the MCR webcam and watch the Flight Control Team and operational support staff conduct preflight simulations, training exercises and mission control system checks.
