Currys have got a Panasonic DVD recorder on their website for £200. Dolby Sound, 2 Scart, Progressive Scanning and the interesting thing is they boast their hard drive can record 100 hrs.

Now, this unit seems so new Google only has 2 entries on it (apart from the usual e-bay plugs etc).

Does anyone here know if the recording info is normal ( I thought most 80G HD's recorded a max of 10 hours ).

Anyone ?

Sorted.... They are 100 hr memories. However, NTL (Hiss) are bringing out a beast next year with 2 or 3 seperate tuners. So you can watch and record others.

That's it. The DVD player was officially retired last night. Thinking back its about 9 years old...so I suppose it's had a good innings. Replaced it (in extremis) with a £25 quid steam driven beast from ALBA. However, I nearly fell over when I optimistically jacked it in to the Amp and still got surround sound. (another reason for having seperates)

Yay me.......
