well you asked so here it is!
for a while we knew we were not the only people in our home, unfortunatly one person lived next door but would pop in to cause mischieve, and not in a good way!
the atmos in the house was not always good, the chap from next door firmly got the blame.
we did a little research and found out who is was, and in life he was not a nice chap either.
I joined a forum based in USA and they helped me out, and they told me how to cleanse.
whilst discussing it on the pc with them, things happened, the air would get cold and on one occasion I felt as if my rib cage was being squeezed from the front and back, in a vice grip.
I eventaully found a smudge stick, from a tattoo palour of all places, lavender and white sage, and the night before we planned to do it a black orb floated across my bedroom into the house next door.
well that made my mind up that we were so going to get rid of him!
we were told to do it on a sunny morning, windows open to let loads of fresh and natural light and air in.
it also fell on spring equinox which was even better!
that morning we were talking about it, having a cup of tea in bed, my husband has always beleived me but had never really witnessed anything himself, any way....as we were sat there with the dog on the end of the bed, the dog started going mad, bearing her teeth and she had her heckles up, staring at the wall of next doors house.
she has never ever done this before and has never done it again.
there was something where she was looking and she did not like it one bit.
we got up pretty darn quickly and set to.
the smudge stick is a bundle of herbs, tied with string, you set fire to them and then blow them out so they smoke.
you need one white and one black candle (lit) and you walk round asking negative energies to leave.
we were very firm and asked all postive energies to stay, convinced one of our spirits is here to protect us so wanted him to stay.
we got the smoke into all the corners of all the rooms and then cleansed ourselves too.
well the atmos changed dramatically straight away. and has been stable since.

Glad to hear something worked Dax, there's something a little odd about our new house. Its an old house but has been totally renovated to a modern standard so everything internal is new.
Strange thing is there always seems to be nice smells appearing. We have an understairs cupboard in the main bedroom (stairs goes to attic conversion). Every time I go in there I detect a very strong perfume smell. My wife says its the deoderent smells from the clothes we keep in there but they never smelled like that in the wardrobe in the old house. I have now detected it in the back bedroom too! When we first moved in it would smell of fresh baked cakes but its the perfume now.
When we enter the house from being out all day it sometimes smells really flowery and perfumery. Usually a house would smell of cooking etc. Not complaining mind, its very nice.
Anyone have a rational explanation?

I smell dead people.
Sounds like a very scary experience Daz. I saw a film tonight it was on sky cinema 2 called the entity. It was based on a factual event, it was very scary to think that someone lived with that. For those that haven't seen it, it was basically this. This occurance first happened in 1976 a woman regularly gets attacked by this unseen entity she believes he tried to kill her and repeatedly raped her. He also broke her son's wrist. At first nobody believes her especially this one doctor who thinks its all in her head. However through out the film more and more people witness this and some paranormal experts from this uni come up with the possible solution of freezing it in nitro glis or some such like. Anyway they recontruct her house in what looks like a gym to capture this thing only it doesn't work. So she tells it she is through running that it can do what it wants torture or even kill her but that she will never be his. The film ends but they add a little write up that she now lives in Texas (film made in 1983) and although the attacks are less frequent and less severe they still happen. Can you imagine living with that, what a brave woman!

Yes smells are a big part of Ghost Hunting!!!
Which is why you shouldn't wear perfume etc on investigations - when paul was in wales at the ww2 airfiled a few of them including him could smell dirty old horse stable hay - later we were told mustard gas smelt like this!!!!
Glad you got your house sorted Dax must have been quite scary for you

I thought that smells were a significant part of hauntings too, nothing else has happened though. I saw The Entity movie, a good scary film. Very disturbing in fact if it all happened as was shown!

It was based on actual events but how much was for dramatic purposes I can not say. All I know is I couldn't even handle half of what she did in that film.

Whether it happened like it did in the film or not rape is rape, no matter how it is presented!!!......I still wouldn't like that to happen!!!!
