I never had a imaginary friend but I have often heard tales that a lot of children do. Due to children being very receptive to paranormal activities I wonder can some of these imaginary friends actually be ghosts. What do you think?

My (then) six year old niece used to tell us about a lady in grey who followed her around the house. One day she got very upset and said she wanted the lady to leave her alone. So I thought I'd be clever and started kicking out and saying 'leave her alone'. My niece looked at me as if I'd gone bonkers. 'What are you doing?' she asked. 'Kicking her out!' I replied. 'Well maybe you should go over there to where she really is' replied my neice pointing over to other side of the room unsure.gif

I don't think my son's friend was a ghost though. He used to talk to him all the time and told me his name was John. John's mum and dad were Ron and June and they lived on the moon! ohmy.gif

So I think in some cases, yes, they may be ghosts in others I think they're figments of vivid imaginations smile.gif

I never had an imaginary friend but I did use to go around telling everyone I was called Dorothy and I had a dog called toto!!!!.....aparently my mum has art work that I did in play school and I had told the carer that my name was dorothy so she wrote that on the bottom thinking it was my name!!!!..........lol.......I think I may have had a thing about the Wizard of Oz!!!!!!

Mind you.........17 years later and I have to admit that I do tend to go off on and day dream quite a lot....I work as a chamber maid (a very dull and mundane job!!) but while I'm working my mind just wonders off into it's own little universe!!!!.........most of the time it's what it would be like being married to Orlando Bloom... tongue.gif ...but I think that's just me!!!!...........lol

Nice Eckie but did you really see him or was it a healthy imagination at play.

I can't say I actually saw him, but I was aware of him I suppose, he may have been a figment of my childhood imagination or perhaps something sparked off the idea in me. I can't remember........... sad.gif
