Full Version: The Lone Gunmen

Just finished watching the Lone Gun Men on DVD. As huge X-Files fans we just had to see how the Gun Men in action and to see why the show was axed after just one series.

Princess Leia loved it from start to finish, it had to grow on me over time but I ended up loving it in the end. Tis a real shame they axed it as it was just getting to find it's feet towards the end of the series IMHO. There were some gem moments throughout though and I was really sorry to see the series end.

There are two additional key characters that were added to the series include a hi-tech (british) modern version of Mata Hari and a loveable but incredibly thick sidekick for the Lone Gun Men. The sidekick is a brilliant addition but I think the other character failed to gel into the series until much later on which is a real shame as she does get more interesting towards the end of it all.

I recommend any X-Files fan to watch this, even if it's just to say you've done it.

The Truth is out there....

I watched a few of these on the Sci-fi channel. I like the characters, the stories were interesting
but the style was wrong IMHO. It was filmed much like the X-files; dark and moody which didn't
fit the story.
Does the set include the pilot episode that was very similiar to the events of 911 filmed before that
happened?
Igor
The pilot episode was included and a little bit of how 9/11 impacted on the writers/producers is talked about in the accompanying documentary about the series.

The season ended with a cliffhanger as well but there was a one off X-Files/Lone Gun Men programme that ties up the loose ends and directly fits in with the Season 9 X-Files episode where we last see the Gun Men.

As long as anyone watches this series without any expectations of an X-Files clone or any links with alien abductions, etc. then I think they can enjoy this in it's own right.
