I have just been playing in the arcade and boy did it bring back memories!

does any one else remember playing space invaders in the pubs and clubs back in the late 70's early 80's on the table top consoles?

playing the game just then bough back happy thoughts of when my dad used to be involved in meetings at the works socail club and he used to give me a handful of coins and leave me on the space invaders table with a warm lemonade while they were discussing things

Oh yes, I remember! My 10p never seemed to last long though!

Saturday Mornings in the Arcades down 'The Street of a Thousand Sins' in Weston-Super-Mare... Off to the second hand book shop. Then back to the barracks and read through 5 books whilst knocking back the Strongbow until dawn on Sunday... Sleep through Sunday and get off to the Mess in time for tea/breakfast. Simpler times......

Ah yes, me and my punk mates playing the table top version of Space Invaders in our local in 1980.
Fags, booze and invaders........ some cool music too. I need to reinstall Firefox to play the games
though. My current version won't update the plug in for some reason.

I was in Japan around the time that Space Invaders came out. When I got back to England and told my friends at school, I tried to describe it and everyone looked at me lkike I was a complete nutcase.

Japan gets all the good things before we do!! its so unfair!!!!
