It's set in New Zealand and the format is as follows.
Team of 3 visit a haunted area during the day. Set up remote cameras, thermal and electromagnetic sensors and in one case a sound recorder. Durning the night 2 of the team (wearing head cams and mikes for our benefit) individually go back to the areas they visited during the day and try and 1. Make some sort of contact. 2. Take as many photos with a flash camera of the area as they can. They then return to the 3rd team member who controls the action by monitoring the sensors and they run their photos through a PC to enhance contrast and gamma of anything that appears interesting.
I've seen 4 episodes and am hooked. I'll even admit I won't watch it when She Who Must Be Obeyed is working nights. They put out a disclaimer stating that they will always tell you what enhancements are being made to a snap and the results can be really disturbing to see.
No groups of 10 blokes sitting around in a cellar telling each other they feel ill. No "cough" We've now been on air 10 mins, time for Derek to start frothing. The investigators are sent out seperately and asked to go to different areas. The sight of the poor girl last week trying to gather enough courage to go into a room she felt 'really bad' about was only topped by the guys face as he realised the only way to get out of a house was to pass a stairway that was creaking quietly.
Refreshingly Knicker Wetting Stuff and well worth a look if you fancy a quick refreshing bout of insomnia.
Ogre
(No I don't know who goes back for the remote equipment. I wouldn't, even for a big clock)
