I've lamented this before, but why does the film industry regularly ignore what has gone before ? If you target an audience because a film franchise has a history, why totally ignore that history and churn out something that makes no sense?

This offering didn't waste anytime with boring things like plot, character building or even (perish the thought) a nod to what has been done before. It was Wham Bam Thank You Mam action with an ending lifted straight from Res Evil 2.

If you want a no brainer that makes AVP look like a detailed story with well rounded characters this is for you. If however, you like a basic stricture to your film series. Forget it.
